Glickman Schlesinger Design Office
Brooklyn, NY 11249
Glickman Schlesinger Design Office (GSDO) is an architecture, interior design, and furniture design company that produces design-driven projects with a strong emphasis on the craft of building and a high level of detailing. Design, efficiency, performance, and sustainability are crucial considerations in creating beautiful objects and spaces for its clients. Since forming their company in January 2007, the husband-and-wife team that makes up Glickman Schlesinger Design Office has worked consistently on design intensive residential works in New York. The projects range in scale from a new house in Amagansett, NY and a 7000 square foot adaptive reuse of a manufacturing building in Brooklyn, NY to apartment interiors in Manhattan, to furniture and cabinetry. In 2011, their Slot Table was an Honoree in Interior Design Magazine’s Best of Year Awards. Both principals were trained by architects recognized for their skill in producing excellently crafted buildings and who believe in the importance of highly detailed and thorough construction documents. Glickman Schlesinger Design Office is committed to continuing the tradition under which they were taught and to produce work of the same caliber.

We are combining two condos. We need to remove a kitchen, remove the front doors of both condos, and attach one of the front doors in front of the elevator (there 2 units per floor for this elevator bank). We also want to redo the floor in the hall.

The owner bought this 1960s Diner located on Route 28 in the Catskills and it was due for a refresh. In collaboration with designer Gabriele Wilson who created all the graphics, we updated the Diner's appearance and established a new identity.

This circa 1900 paper doily factory in Brooklyn NY sat dormant for over 10 years. GSDO was the architect for the full renovation of the building that was completed in September 2012.
